Donnie L. Wisslead, 82, of Sciota passed away at 3:06 a.m. Thursday, September 14, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born on April 10, 1941 in Mound Township, McDonough County to Lyle P. and Helena Furrey Wisslead. . He married Janice Coker on June 3, 1962. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Teri (Roger) Zellers of Sciota, Donna Scanlan of Sciota, Darin (Katie) Wisslead of Good Hope and Shannon (Sarah) Wisslead of Andover, Illinois; grandchildren, Nichole Zellers, Zachary (Kelly) Zellers, Jared Zellers and Cody Williams, Bradley Preston (Hannah) Scanlan, Ryan Wisslead, Keaton Wisslead and Landon Wisslead and great-grandchildren, Zoey Zellers, Zane Zellers, Jade Williams, Kyrin Williams and Daxton Scanlan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Betty J. Breeden and one brother, Duane Wisslead.
Donnie farmed in Sciota for over 60 years.
Grave side services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Bushnell Cemetery in Bushnell with Pastor Imelda Ramos officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m Wednesday at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the Good Hope Fire and Rescue Squad or MDH Home Health.
