Ada Jane Johnston-Renner

Ada Jane Johnston-Renner, 93, of Macomb passed away at 2 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2023 peacefully at her residence.
She was born on July 5, 1930 in Industry Township, McDonough County to Arlo and Zela Stoneking Coker. She married Paul J. “Doc” Johnston on December 20, 1948 in Industry. He passed away on April 4, 2001.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Paul Douglas Johnston; brothers, Duane and Rodney Coker and sisters, Betty Bohling and Martha Mae Standard.
Jane is survived by her children, Greg (Linda) Johnston, Mike Johnston, Pam Johnston and Renee (Bill) Lotz; grandchildren, Edward P. (Amy) Johnston, Michelle Johnston, Dina (Rick) Hall, Brodie (Kristen) Lotz, Hailey Lotz and Katelyn Lotz; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Ada Jane attended and grraduated from Industry High School. She worked primarily as an Optometric Assistant to Dr.’s Ashenhurst & Henderson and then retiring from Dr’s Goldberg & Vail. Jane was an avid bowler and traveler.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 5, 2024 at a location to be named later.
Memorials are encouraged to be made to MDH Hospice.
