Anna Louise Barrett, 84, of Macomb passed away at 8:53 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2024 at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb.
She was born on October 12, 1940 in Moline to Sherman P. and Lillian Lucille Smithson Swanger.
She is survived by one son, William “Bill” (Kathy Garlick) Barrett of Augusta; one brother, Jerry (Marilyn) Swanger of Plymouth; many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; life partner, Roger Jackson and one daughter, Marna Dimmitt.
She lived in Brooklyn and Macomb most of her life. She worked at the Student Prince East and McDonough District Hospital for many years before her retirement.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Private burial of ashes will be held at Camp Creek Cemetery south of Macomb.
