Arbon Don Mansir, 96, of Macomb, IL passed away, Friday, October 1, 2021. He was born in Good Hope, IL, March 15, 1925, to the late Richard Lemuel Mansir and Pearl Leila Wells Mansir.
Survivors include his five daughters: Melanie Hudson of Hot Springs, AR, Pamela Mansir of Port Orange, FL, Teresa (Marlin) Webb of Milan, IL, Daundra (Doug) Clark of Benton, KY, and Lara (Dan) Lessard of Macomb, IL. along with twelve grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vildra Mansir, his brother, Keith Mansir, great-grandson, Aidan Young, and son-in-law, Harley Hudson.
Arbon was a respected lifetime farmer who married his high school sweetheart, Vildra Claire Fargusson. She was the love of his life, and he guarded her safety and wellbeing for her entire life. In their later years he tirelessly looked after her needs. He fashioned his ways in an attempt to live his life in a Biblical manner. Family and friends will miss Arbon dearly.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Maple Avenue Christian Church in Macomb, IL. with Donnie Case, officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Graveside service for family will follow at the Good Hope Cemetery.
