Barbara J. Markley

Barbara Joyce Markley, 83, of Macomb passed away at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at the Lamoine Senior Living Center in Macomb.
She was born on October 12, 1937 in Macomb to Beryl and Dorothea Hillyer Schisler. She married William Markley on July 27, 1958 in Macomb. He passed away on August 4, 2013. 
She is also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Roger Markley and one brother, Jim Schisler.
Barbara is survived by one son, Jim (Dianne) Markley of Greenview; one daughter, Lisa Jo (Darrin) Westermann of Olatha, Colorado; six grandchildren, Ali Markley, Zach Markley, Madisson Markley, Payton Markley, Cameron Westermann and Tanner Westermann; two great-grandchildren, Gideon Harman and Finnley White; one brother, Jerry Schisler of Industry; one sister, Sharon Schisler of Macomb and several nieces and nephews.
Barbara lived most of her life in the Macomb area where she worked as a farm wife. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Macomb. She danced with the LaMoine Squares of Macomb and the Rambling Rose Square Dance club of Roseville. She and her husband wintered in Florida for several years.
A private graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb with Reverend Kelly Ingersoll officiating. There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
