Catherine Henson, 78, of Macomb passed away at 3:54 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2021 at her residence.

She was born on June 8, 1942 in Princeton, Illinois to Wilbur and Amelia Fredrickson Stauffer. She married Wayne Henson. He preceded her in death on June 19, 1974.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Catherine is survived by her children, John (Susan) Henson, Lonnie Henson, Shelly (Jack) Brown and Wayne "Roe" Henson; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She lived most of her life in the Macomb area where she worked as a word processor. She was a member of the Macomb Eagles Club and the Humane Society was near and dear to her heart.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside interment of ashes will be held Saturday, March 20, 2021 in the Corinth Baptist Cemetery in Grand Rivers, Kentucky.

Memorials may be made to the McDonough County Humane Society.

I remember Cathy at WIU when she worked upstairs in Seal Hall and I worked in the front office, in the late 1980's-mid 1990's  She would come down to our office delivering word processing jobs, always with a smile and friendly conversation..  My deepest condolences to all her family.

I spent alot of time at the Henson house in my teens.  She always had a smart alic comment  to give me. She welcomed me into her home like I was
Family.  Great sense of humor and very fiesty.
