Charles "Chuck" Butterfield

Charles F. “Chuck” Butterfield, 74 of Colchester passed away at 4:49 p.m. Monday, January 17, 2022 at his residence.
He was born on July 15, 1947 in Galesburg to Carrol and Wilma Royer Butterfield. He married Janice Shoopman on June 14, 1969 in Colchester. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Paul (Lisa) Butterfield of Colchester; one daughter, Kelly (Justin Lundgren) Butterfield of Macomb; grandchildren, Jill (Dylan) Cook, Courtney (Wes) Rhoads and Avery and Liam Lundgren; sister-in-law, Sharon Butterfield of Rock Island; brothers, Mel (Brenda) Butterfield of Branson, Missouri and Bill (Zennie) Butterfield of Salt Lake City, Utah; nephews, Jimmy, Mike, Phillip, J.R., Brian, Scott and Tim; nieces, Deb, Krista, Sara, Melissa, Glenda and Corrie and his musician friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edgar and Cliff Butterfield; sister-in-law, Janet Butterfield; nephews, Curtis Butterfield and Ryan Moffitt and long-time friends, Billy DeJaynes and Carroll Trulson.
Chuck was a life-long farmer in McDonough County.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 21, 2022 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Dave Scott and Jeff Royer officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m Thursday, January 20, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt Auburn Cemetery in Colchester.
