Connie Sears

Connie Sears, 65, of Rural Adair passed away at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at her residence.

She was born on June 7, 1961 in Canton to Billy and Judith Smith Pettet. She married Lyle Sears on June 21, 2003. He survives.

Also surviving are her children, Bobbi (Aaron) Huffines of Havana, Monica Skiles of Rushville, Bradley Miles of Kentucky, David (Laura) Sears, Samantha (Thomas) Schoer and Dean (Schuyler) Sears; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kearsten, Cynthia, Zachary, Jonathon, Kaitlyn, Devin, Isaac, Ivory and LeAnne; great-grandchildren, Aryella, Elliott, Henry, Andrew, August and Hudson and her siblings, Mary, Ruth, Karen, Joleen, Gloria, Glenn, William, Glenn and Debbi.

Connie was preceded in death by her father, Billy Pettet, parents, Harold and Judith Wright, in-laws, Gerald and Vera Sears and siblings Kelly Benavides and Guy Pettet.

Connie worked at the Walmart Vision Center for over 20 years in Macomb. She took great pride in her work and considered everyone a friend. In her free time she enjoyed time spent with her husband, kids and grandkids. She was always down for a road trip but could also be found in her garden tending her flowers, in the pool or an activity for one of the grandkids taking pictures. She was our family photographer.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Pastor Mike Ulmer officiating.
Visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Chockley Cemetery east of Industry.
