Cynthia Ellis Obituary

Cynthia Ellis, 63, of Macomb passed away at 7:52 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2026 at her residence in Macomb.

She was born on December 22, 1962 in Macomb to Charles L. and Leona Bedwell. She was adopted and raised

by Cyril and LaDessa Goodin. She married Terry Ellis on June 7, 1986 in Macomb. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Keith Ellis of Good Hope; five grandchildren, Andrew Ellis, Nash Ellis, Anna 

Ellis, Kaylee Ellis, and Zoe Ellis; brothers, Carol (Marge) Goodin of Plymouth, Charles (Marina) Goodin, 

of Lewisburg, Tennessee, Daniel Bedwell of Peoria, Dale Bedwell of Henry, David Bedwell of Florida,

Keith Maddox of Centralia and Charles Bedwell of Fort Smith, Arkansas; two sisters, Cheryl Meigs of

Wilmington, North Carolina and Carmen (Mike) Chatterton of Glouster, Virginia; one sister-in-law,

Norma Goodin, Springfield, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son; Gerald Ellis; grandson; Cody Ellis; one brother, Kent

Goodin and brother-in-law, Dan Meigs.

Cynthia lived in McDonough County most of her life. She worked at the business office at McDonough District

Hospital and Mosaic and was a receptionist for Doctor’s Lefler, Reem and Flores.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2026 at St.

Mary’s Cemetery west of Colmar with Pastor Ben Ellefritz officiating. There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude’s.
