David Allan Lancaster, 80, of Industry passed away at 8:33 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born on February 25, 1941 in Macomb to Lewis H. and Ramona E. Walton Lancaster. He married Elizabeth Ann “Betsy” Kirchner on September 7, 1975 in Whitehall, Illinois.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Ann “Betsy” Lancaster of Industry; three sons, Phillip (Sarah) Lancaster of Wamego, Kansas, Andrew (Crystal) Lancaster of Arlington, Nebraska and Matthew (Jennifer) Lancaster of Toledo, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Levi Lancaster, Caleb Lancaster, Henry Lancaster, Reid Lancaster, Eliza Lancaster, Margot Lancaster, Lily Lancaster and James Lancaster and one sister, Kathryn “Joyce’ Spring of Industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
David lived all of his life in the Industry area where he farmed all of his life until his retirement in 2012.
He was an Army veteran serving in the 502nd Engineering Company Assault Float Bridge from December 5, 1963 to November 16, 1965. He was a member of the Macomb Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Pastor Tim Burke officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, February 21, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Chockley Cemetery East of Industry. Military services will be conducted at the cemetery by the Macomb American Legion and the Macomb VFW.
