Deja Ashanti McCray

Deja Ashanti McCray, 20, of Macomb passed away at 9:29 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023 in Macomb.
She was born on May 25, 2003 in Rock Island to Jeremy and Alisha Emerick McCray.
She is survived by her mother, Alisha Emerick of Quincy, her father, Jeremy McCray of Rock Island, brother, Tyler Paterson of Macomb, sister, Keyarra Emerick of Bowen, maternal grandmother, Sandra Emerick of Vermont and grandfather, Bill Craig of Macomb.
Deja lived most of her life in the Rock Island and Macomb areas. She graduated from Rock Island High School as a junior. She enjoyed drawing and singing.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Grave Side service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Good Hope Cemetery in Good Hope with Reverend A. Lee Unger officiating. Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb.
