Diana Mae Lucas-Payne

Diana Mae Lucas-Payne, 77, of Macomb passed away at 4:55 p.m. Saturday, December 23, 2023 from natural causes at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb.
She was born on October 16, 1946 in Macomb to Eldon and Gladys Mercer Lucas. She married Gary Payne. He preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death are her parents and one daughter, Mandy Mata.
Diana is survived by one son, Kevin Luke Payne and his fiancé, Anna Hoffman; granddaughters, Ashlyn Mata and Ava Maria Hoffman-Payne; grandsons, Aiden Luke Payne, Brevin Michael Payne, and Jagger James Hoffman-Payne; one brother, Roger (Marcia) Lucas and several nieces and nephews.
She was a go-to safe place, and always put others before herself. She was a beautiful person inside and out. A genuinely admirable woman.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Diana’s Life is being planed in the spring of 2024. Details will be announced, and we hope all can attend this special day in honor of a very special person.
