Obituary
Dora M. Leonard, age 99, of Macomb passed away at 8:40 AM on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb. She was born on December 17, 1923 in Macomb,Illnois the daughter of Roy and Cora Martin Woolam. She married Ray Leonard on January 29, 1942 in Kohoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 1, 1998.
She is survived by one son James (Ruth) Leonard of Macomb, two daughters Alice (Mike) Sokolinski of Morris, Illinois, and Sally (Mark) Miller of Gilbert, Arizona, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son John Leonard, and several brothers and sisters.
Dora had lived in Macomb most all her life except for a few years in Phoenix, Arizona. Dora loved doing crossword puzzles and playing pitch and scrabble.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at the Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb. Rev. Lee Unger will officiate. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb, Illinois. The family will meet with friends one hour before the time of services at the funeral home.
