Dorothy Kathleen Riebling, 91, of Macomb, formerly of Industry passed away at 2:22 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Wesley Village Healthcare Center in Macomb.
She was born on October 24, 1930 in Colchester to Louis and Lura Sweasey Yard. She married Freddie Riebling on January 2, 1949 in Colchester. He passed away on June 29, 2010.
Also preceding her in death are her parents; one brother, Eldon Yard; one sister, Caroline Humke and one nephew, Kent Yard.
Dorothy is survived by three sons, Phillip R. (Dawn) Riebling of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, Ronald (Robin) Riebling of Good Hope and Howard (Cynthia) Riebling of Chanhassen, Minnesota; eight grandchildren, Robb (Carla) Mentink, Carly Mentink, Brandon Riebling, Eric (Andrea) Riebling, Laura (Bryan) Kenney, Ryan (Caroline) Riebling, Garrett Riebling and Sophia Riebling; seven great-grandchildren Hudson, Ledger and Harper Riebling, Reese and Brexton Kenney and Owen and Evan Mentink and one sister-in-law, Evelyn Yard of LaHarpe.
Dorothy worked for J.C. Penney in Macomb for over 27 years and also worked for meals on wheels.
She was a member of the West Prairie Presbyterian Church where she played the organ and taught Sunday School.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church in Macomb with Reverend Dr. Scott Grulke officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11 a..m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb.
