Elsie Mae Haskins, 96, of Macomb, IL has gone to her eternal home surrounded by her girls, Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Wesley Village in Macomb, IL. She was born on August 26, 1927 in Frederick, IL. She married Nelton Haskins, Sr., on July 30, 1944 in Macomb, IL. He preceded her in death on February 6, 1988.
Elsie Mae is survived by 7 of 8 children.  Preceded in death is Ella Mae Railsback (Fred) of Macomb, IL.  Survived by Sandra Kay Houchens, of Macomb, IL, Judy Ann Cramer (Earle) of Macomb, IL, Patricia Elaine Doster (Ned) of Macomb, IL, Nelton Richard Haskins, Jr. (Laurie) of Macomb, IL, William Ward Haskins, (Kay) of Marietta, IL, Mary Ellen Clements, (David) of Macomb, IL, and Tena Marie White, (Fred)  of Bigelow, AR. 
From the book of Proverbs: “her children rise up and call her blessed”. She has 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  
Elsie Mae was a faithful member of the formerly St. Georges Episcopal Church, now known as St. Georges Anglican Church. Noted for her lovely soprano voice, she loved to sing and was a member St. George’s choir all the years she was a member.  In addition to the choir, she was an active member of the Women’s Gild, and volunteer of many church events throughout the years.  Devoted mother and wife, she managed to keep the Haskins busy household in order.
 A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm. On Monday, February 12, 2024 at the Bushnell Cemetery, with Father Bill Anderson of St. Peters Anglican Church, officiating.  Memorial contributions can be made to St. Peters Anglican Church, 21 East Side Square, Canton, IL 61455.
