Faye Earlene Bunch, 96, of Macomb passed away 5:47 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2021 at Wesley Village Healthcare Center in Macomb.
She was born on March 5, 1925 in Keokuk, Iowa to Victor B. and Carol W. Johnson Peters. She married Harold G. Bunch on January 19, 1952 in Keokuk, Iowa. He passed away on February 7, 2011.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; Barb’s husband, Scott Hagebak and two brothers, Gail Peters and Charles Peters.
Faye is survived by two daughters, Barbara Carson of Mankato, Minnesota and Beverly (Robert Ducker) Bunch of Springfield, Illinois and four grandchildren, Nicholas (Lorena Trevino) Mac Murray, Benjamin (Heather) Mac Murray, Molly Ducker and Merik Ducker.
Faye received her bachelor’s degree from Northern Iowa University 1949 and her master’s degree from Western Illinois University in 1970. She first worked as a teacher for Logan School and then at Western Lab School. She later worked as a financial aid officer at Western Illinois University until her retirement. She served in the Women’s Army Corp from 1945 to 1946. She enjoyed quilting.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Private graveside services will be held at Harris Cemetery west of Table Grove. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the Wesley Village Community Center with the program beginning at 1:30 p.m..
Memorials may be made to Wesley Village or MDH Hospice.
