Geneva L. "Ginger" Abernathy

Geneva Louise “Ginger” Abernathy, 83, of Macomb passed away 7:36 a.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Macomb Post Acute Care in Macomb.
She was born on March 24, 1941 in Roseville to Willard and Carroll Markley Arvin. She married Jack  Abernathy on July 7, 1963 in Bushnell. He passed away on September 14, 2009.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and several nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her niece and care giver, Debbie Cale of Colchester; several nieces, nephews and cousins and her best friend, Judy Steiner of Minier.
She and her husband ran Kittin-Kaboodle,  J and G Sales and Playhouse Toys. She has lived in Macomb since 1980.
Grave side services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb.
Memorials may be made to the MDH Hospice Program.
