Genevieve France, 100, of Macomb passed away at 10:28 a.m. Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Macomb Post Acute Care Center in Macomb. 
She was born on June 30, 1922 in Ipava, Illinois to Frank and Pearl Weese Babcock. She married Everett France in 1946. He preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Frank France and a sister, Rosemary Beck.
Genevieve is survived by one daughter Susan (Dale) Ertzinger of Muskegon, Michigan; two grandchildren, Matthew Ertzinger of Grand Haven, Michigan and Sarah Farrand of Grand Ledge, Michigan; five great-grandchildren and a brother-in-law, Eldon Beck.
She lived most of her life in the Ipava area and later lived in Carthage on the farm. She lived in Macomb the last 15 years. She was a member of the Ipava First Presbyterian Church and was an Elementary School Teacher at VIT school district for many years.
Private grave side services will be held at the Ipava Cemetery with Pastor Lisa Cato-Crider officiating. There will be no visitation.
