Gregory L. Thompson

Gregory Leonard Thompson, age 63, of Blandinsville, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, January 9th at his residence.  
He was born on January 28, 1958 in Macomb, Illinois to Leonard and Joanne Thompson.  He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Carla Haas, and one brother-in-law, Eugene Haas.
Gregory is survived by his daughter Kayla Jill Thompson; one sister, Cindy (Brent) Blizewski of Charlotte, North Carolina; and one niece, Rachael Blizewski of Charlotte.  
Gregory lived all his life in Blandinsville.  He was a 1976 graduate of Northwestern High School. He enjoyed playing football and softball. He was a licensed master plumber and electrician. He worked early in his career at Thompson Plumbing, Heating and Hardware in Blandinsville. He and his dad, Leonard made sure people’s heat was on and they were warm. He later worked at other businesses as a master plumber.  He was a member of the Blandinsville First Baptist Church.  Gregory enjoyed boating and water skiing early in his life.  
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
