Harvey L. Provine

Harvey L. Provine, 84, of Macomb passed away at 12:43 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at the Lamoine Assisted Living Center in Macomb.
He was born on June 16, 1938 in Macomb to William George and Zola Irene Sims Provine. He married Carole Noper on March 5, 1960 at the Ebenezer Church in rural Macomb.She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Ann (Scott) Mellinger of Burlington, Iowa, one brother, Roger (Lorna) Provine of Macomb; one sister-in-law, Janie (Mike) Gillenwater of Dalton City, Illinois; nieces and nephews, Heidi (Sean) McKinney, Nick (Sunny) VanAcker, Lynnette  Cale, Ross Provine, Katie Gillenwater and Sara (Mike) Shea; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, John Alexander and one sister, Betty Shannon.
Harvey lived in the Macomb area all of his life. He worked for the City of Macomb as an equipment operator for over 30 years before his retirement in June of 2000. He was an Army veteran serving from 1961 to 1963.
He was a member of the Faith Fellowship Church in Tennessee. He enjoyed Antique Tractor Pulls, Horse Pulls and was an avid John Deere fan. He wintered in Texas and spent summers at Lake of the Ozarks.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2023 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Pastor Ted Shirley officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb.
