James "Jamie" Swanson

James “Jamie” Swanson, 69, of Good Hope passed away at 7:45 a.m. Sunday, December 14, 2025 at his residence. 

He was born on July 17, 1956 in Macomb to Kendall and E. Marjorie King Swanson. He married Neda Nell on May 28, 1977 in Good Hope. She survives.

Also surviving are sons, Jake Swanson of Carman and Kevin Swanson of Blandinsville; three grandchildren, Kendall Swanson, Carson Hanger and Kinslee Patejak, and one sister, Mary Jane (Hardy) Shryack of Macomb.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Jamie has lived in Good Hope and Sciota all his life. He worked for Sciota Elevator for over 40 years. He was the Sciota Township Supervisor for 25 years.

He was a member of the Good Hope Masonic Lodge, Hancock County Gun Club, Warren County Sportsmen Club, loved hunting and fishing and was an avid sportsman.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2025 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Pastor Lyren Haney officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Warren County Sportsmen Club or Hancock County Gun Club.
