Jennifer M Powelson

Jennifer M. Powelson, 32, of Macomb went home to be with the Lord at 12:57 PM Monday, December 21, 2020 at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

She was born on December 8, 1988 in Macomb to Pam Hainline and Mark Powelson.

Surviving are her loving mother, Pam Powelson, caring sister Courtney Powelson, and an incredibly special uncle, Kevin Hainline, all of Macomb. Aunts and Uncles, Kim (Dan) Redman of Howards Grove, Wisconsin, Kent (Pam) Hainline of Phoenix, Arizona. Cousins, Roger McCrary, Heather (Michael Teaby) McCrary, Hannah (Ryan) Jones, Ben (Jenny) Hainline.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mark Powelson, grandparents, Kenneth and Marilyn Hainline, Aunt, Peggy McCrary.

Jennifer lived in Macomb and had a Bachelor’s degree and was working on her Master’s degree at Western Illinois University.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, watching the Wheel of Fortune (always guessing the puzzle correctly) and watching the NBA on TV.

Jennifer was selfless in everything she did. She had a heart of gold and always put others first and would do anything for anyone, even if she did not know you.

She was the glue that held everyone together and will be missed beyond measure. Jennifer was thought so highly of by everyone in her life which is a true testament to her character.

Funeral services will be held at The Crossing Church in Macomb with Pastor Ben Ellefritz officiating on Wednesday, December 30 at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 30 at The Crossing Church in Macomb. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, masks are required to be worn.

Memorials may be made to the Jennifer Powelson Memorial Fund.
