Jimmie Curtis “Jim” Sipes, 79, of Macomb passed away at 8:19 a.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb.
He was born on September 10, 1942 in Ray, Illinois to Russell and Ruby Sipes. He first married Jeannie Price Parker. He then married Brenda Mathena. He later married Diane Ford. She survives
He is also survived by his children, Russell Sipes, Jennifer (Sidney) James, Tonya Campbell, Tony (Michelle) Utter and Bobbi Roberts; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren with one on the way; sisters, Judy Steiner, Connie Sikes, Pat Palm, Brenda Friday and Vickie Markley and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kathy Rogers; son, Jimme Sipes; sister Carol Danner; niece, Tracy Stiener and his beloved dog, Jewels.
Jim lived most of his life in Bushnell. He graduated from Bardolph High School in 1960. He was the best looking boy his mother raised. He was a veteran serving in the Navy.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb. Cremation rites will be accorded after the visitation. A private graveside burial of ashes will be in the Bushnell Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the HSMC new animal shelter.
