Kathy Rae Black, 75, of Industry passed away at 7:18 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at Macomb Post Acute
Care in Macomb.
She was born on May 18, 1951 in Macomb to Carroll and Bette Craddock Zander. She married Bill Black on
July 11, 1969 in Industry. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Erick Black of Industry and Craig (Monika) Black of Dunwoody, Georgia; two
Granddaughters, Mollie and Milla Black; two sisters, Lona (Pete) Peterson and twin sister, Karen (Neil) Skiles
And nieces and nephews, Amanda, Chad, Ashley, Morgan, Chris, Brian, Daniel, Scott, Arron and Elizabeth
She was preceded in death by her parents and one niece, Shannon Heaton.
Kathy loved her granddaughters and liked to visit on video chat. She never met a stranger and around family
And friends see could liven up the conversation. She always had her opinion about everything and it was
Usually unfiltered. But, she gave as good as she took and a little off color was fine too.
Kathy lived in Industry, Hamilton and Columbia, Missouri before moving back to Industry in 2007. She worked
at Cardinal Cage in Hamilton and Home Health Care in Columbia, Missouri.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be held in Industry Cemetery at 11 a.m.
Saturday August 1, 2026 with Pastor Randy Burwell officiating and a Celebration of Life will be held
immediately following the graveside at the Industry United Methodist Church.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
