Larry Beal Obituary

 Larry Beal, 76, of Adair passed away at 8:28 a.m. Wednesday December 3, 2025 at his residence with his family at his side.

He was born on August 22, 1949 in Avon to Jack and Bette (Wilt) Beal. He married Cheryl Phillips on July 17, 1971 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Macomb. She preceded him in death on October 25, 2021.

Also surviving are one daughter, Holly (Andy) Riggins of Macomb and one son J.D. (Jaimie) Beal of Adair. Grandchildren Katie (Kyle Whitaker), Sarah, and Masyn Riggins, Jarrett and Jack Beal, Caitlin (Evan) Schmalshof, Brandon (Rebecca) Billups, Madison Winters and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, parents, and in-laws DeLoss and Maynie Belle Phillips.

Larry lived nearly all of his life in Adair. He was a graduate of Macomb High School in 1967. He was a member of the New Salem Fire Protection District and Macomb Elks Lodge. Larry was an expert mechanic that could fix anything. He owned and operated Beal’s Garage in Adair with his son until the time of his death. Larry was an avid race fan and had a passion for making things go fast. From race cars and go-karts to boats and motorcycles if it had a motor he was interested.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2025 at the Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2025 at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to New Salem Fire Protection District.
