Larry L. Plate Obituary

Larry L. Plate, 87, of Macomb, formerly of Adair passed away at 11:53 p.m.. Friday, July 19, 2024 at the Lamoine Senior Living Center in Macomb.
He was born on October 18, 1936 in Fulton County, Illinois to Lloyd and Nona Onion Plate. He married Alice Schleich on August 23, 1952. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Patsy (David) Leezer of St. Charles, Missouri, Larry Joe Plate of Niota, Illinois and Rose (Randy) Scheetz of Carthage; 11 grandchildren, Susi Plate (Nick Swartz) Boyles, Jamie Plate Boyles, Chris Plate, Jared (Brandy) Plate, Joshua (Melissa) Plate, Elizabeth  (Andy) Pilkington, Nathan (Savannah) Leezer, Krista  (Justin) Carle, Lezley  (Nick) Anderson, Paul Scheetz and Dan (Bethany) Scheetz; many great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Janice Nelson of Tacoma, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Steve Plate; one granddaughter, Shelly Plate Boyles and one brother, Norman Plate.
Larry farmed for over 50 years in Hancock,  McDonough and Fulton Counties. He attended the Crossing Church in Macomb.
Private family grave side services will be held at Pennington Point Cemetery in New Salem Township west of Adair.
Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb is in charge of arrangements.
