Larry Thompson Obituary

Larry Richard Thompson, 80, of Blandsinville, IL passed away at OSF St. Francis hospital in Peoria, IL on May 13, 2021.
Larry was born on October 13, 1940 to Gerald & Kathryn (Farris) Thompson. He is survived by one sister, Janet Shipman (Carl D.) of Blandinsville, one son, Tim Thompson (Deb Monahan) of South Carolina, two granddaughters; Heather & Ray Utton of South Carolina, Holly Thompson (Jeff) of Vermont, 5 great grandchildren; an uncle Robert Farris of Burlington, Iowa and numerous nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Kathryn, one sister Judy in childbirth, one brother Don Thompson and one sister Carolyn Strausbaugh.
Larry served in the Army and was a truck driver. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed going to Tinks in Bville.
Memorials may be made to the Twin Oaks Golf Course in Blandinsville IL.
A private graveside service will be held for the family at a later date. Cremation has been accorded.
