Lillian L. Knight, 102, of East Peoria passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus surrounded by her family on Monday, May 5, 2025 at the home of her daughter.
She was born on March 28, 1923 in Hoopeston, Illinois to Chester and Edith Wood Berg. She married George R. Knight on April 12, 1941. He passed away on July 31, 2005. He was a retired Peoria Police Officer.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Cheryl Knight; one son, Curt Knight; and three brothers, Chet, Leon “Bud” and Harold Berg.
She is survived by her children, Sandy (Rick) Coursey of East Peoria and George (Bobbi) Knight of Cape Coral, Florida; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Private grave side services were held at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Memorials may be made online to her grandson’s  ministry at THRIVEtoday.org.
