Linda L Bice

Linda was born September 25, 1950 in Lancaster, South Carolina to Martin Luther and Geraldine Tournear Thompson and passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
Her maternal grandparents were Elsie May Taylor and Ernest Ray Tournear of Camp Point and Quincy. Her paternal grandparents were Alvin and Celia Martin Thompson of Fall Creek, Adams County, Illinois. Living in South Carolina only a couple of weeks after birth before coming back to Illinois. Martin and Geraldine had three children, Harry Michael (Deanna) Thompson, Linda Lee (Thomas) Bice, and Brenda Kay (Kenneth) Gayler. Harry Michael, and Kenneth Gayler preceded Linda in death as did her parents and grandparents. Martin and Geri divorced and she married Harry Nicholson of Quincy in 1954. They had two more children, Debra Ann Nicholson of Macomb, and Gregory Eugene (Vicki) Nicholson of Tennessee, Illinois. Harry was an excellent husband and father but he died at a very young age of 47 years old of heart disease.
Geri married Raymond Kindhardt who was also an excellent father who had three children when they married, Barbara (John) Connor of Tennessee, Il., Raymond “Butch” Kindhart, Donna (Terry) Mathews of Gilson, Il., and together they had Pamela (Kirk) Burgess of Morton, Il.
Sadly Geri passed away when Pam was only 9, and Raymond when she was 18. Pam has been a member of our family ever since, I am very proud to say, and we love her as such.
Linda married Thomas Earl Bice and they lived most of their lives in Blandinsville before retiring in Macomb. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Corey (Babette) Bice and Chad Bice both of Macomb; three lovely grand-daughters, Maria Leann Bice, Cora Lynn Bice and Lily Mae Bice, the apples of grandma’s eyes; special Ava Grace Burgess and Tristan she loves very much, and many nieces and nephews. 
Linda first was hired at GTE in Macomb in 1968 and left to be with Corey after he was born. She then worked for Bowers, Curtis Trucking for 10 years. Western Illinois University Student Health Insurance for 2 years and MDH switchboard for 21 years, where she met many wonderful dear friends, and singers. Thank you Amy, Sandi, Becky, Ronda J. Josh, and Dorothy, you are special.
Linda has a special “daughter, Kane” she loves very much. 
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Visitation will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
