Linda M. Clarke

Linda Marlene Clarke, 72, of Macomb, Il. passed away at 12:10 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2021 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
She was born on September 24, 1948 in Macomb the daughter of Harry M. and Eunice Eaves Griffith. She married Gary T. Clarke on May 21, 1983 in Macomb. He survives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jerry Griffith.
Surviving to mourn her passing are her husband, Gary T. Clarke of Macomb; her son, Mike (Mindy) Pilat of Macomb; grandchildren, Austin Pilat of Huntley, Makenzie Pilat, Nic Parkins and Elliot Parkins all of Macomb; sister, Chris (Greg) Humes of Tennessee, IL; brother, Harry Griffith (Judy) of Davenport, Iowa; several nieces and nephews, Shelley (Tracy) Parker of Adairsville, GA, Jimmy Griffith (Heather) of Macomb, Shawn  Griffith (Mindy) of Roseville, IL, Elizabeth “Annie” Humes of Tennessee, IL; special cousins, Beverly McGrew of Avon, Steve Krieder of Bushnell and Janet Leitold of Brainerd, MN and her beloved dog, Charlie.
Linda enjoyed everything horse-related including her first horse, Mingo. She loved showing horses, going to horse shows, the state fair and etc.
She worked at Scott’s Pharmacy, the Cadillac Lounge, West Pierce Market owned by the family and West Pierce Liquors.
Linda was a drummer for the Midnight Ramblers. She loved football and spending the weekends at the Mississippi River fishing, going to auctions and yard sales. Linda loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Family and friends can pay their respects Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Lamoine Trails Saddle Club.
