Linda R. Howard

Linda R. Howard, 74, of Macomb passed away at 11 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Macomb Post Acute Care in Macomb.
She was born on November 22, 1947 in Macomb to Clifford S. and Mary Martha (Ford) Wilson. She married Robert L. Howard on September 17, 1988. He passed away on December 1, 2017.
Linda is survived by one son, David (Mary) Wilson of Macomb; four step-children, Pauline Howard of Peoria, Robert Howard, Jr of Peoria, Joseph Howard of Macomb and Timothy (Leslie) Howard of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two grandchildren raised by Linda and Bob, Joseph (Lauren) Cloud of Martinsburg, West Virginia and Serenidy Howard of Macomb; five other grandchildren, Brian DeWeese of Delaware, Ohio, Lindsay (T.J.) Forsyth of Rome, Georgia, Ashton Wilson of Piedmont, Missouri, Jenna Wilson of Macomb and Kris Mitchell of Macomb; several great-grandchildren; one brother, David (Rosanna) Wilson of Keizer, Oregon; two sisters, Delores “Shorty” (Keith “Butch” Heinrich) Barnes of Macomb and Georgia (Roger) Abernathy of Bushnell; a son-in-law; Allen McGaughey of Colchester; several nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Carol Fross of Florida.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Martha (Ford) Wilson; her father, Clifford Wilson and her step-mother, Mary Ellen Wilson; twin daughters, Krista Wilson and Karla Wilson McGaughey and two sisters, Mary Evelyn Wilson and Brenda R. Miller.
She was raised in Industry and spent her entire adult life in Macomb. She worked at King-Seeley, Caterpillar, several years as a Tupperware Executive Manager and several years at Girl Friday Tax Service before her retirement.
Linda worked with different organizations in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served the children of the church in the Primary Organization. She also was a member of the Women’s Relief Society. Most recently she served the congregation as the ward librarian. Linda was a mentor to any and all who knew her. 
Linda touched so many lives with generous offering to help others. Her kindness was an inspiration and Linda had a great sense of humor that everybody enjoyed.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Bishop Shea Trost officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb.
