Lloyd A. Stambaugh Obituary

Lloyd Allen Stambaugh, 72, of St. Augustine, Illinois passed away at 8:40 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2025 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
He was born on June 29, 1952 in Macomb to John H. and Melba G. Green Stambaugh. He married Terry Applegate. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Terry (Rick) Thorman, Connie (Matt) Shotts and Diane (Troy Friday) Stambaugh; 12 grandchildren, Devin Brock, Cameron Brock, Allyssa Thorman, Brodie Thorman, Bryce Crowl, Morgan Crowl, Zane Crowl, Aleah Crowl, Jordan Anderson, Amfenee Anderson, Brodie Friday and Briar Friday; 9 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Chloe, A J, Eden, Bentley, Willow, Natalie, Ryker and Myla and two brothers, John (Becky) Stambaugh and Lee (Ann) Stambaugh. 
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James Stambaugh.
He worked at Abingdon Pottery and did road construction in Indiana.
He refinished furniture, enjoyed antiquing and was a great auto mechanic. He enjoyed cooking and had a great sense of humor. He also enjoyed watching auto racing and spending time with family and friends.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb.
Memorials may be made to the Heart and Lung Association.
