Lois Irene Stenger

Lois Irene Stenger, age 71, of Macomb, passed away at 7:47 a.m. on March 1, 2021 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

She was born on March 11, 1949 in Macomb Illinois the daughter of Oliver and Florence Merritt Featherlin. She first married Cledus Cross Jr. He preceded her in death. She later married Lyle Stenger and he also preceded her in death.

She is survived by her life companion Larry Svob, two sisters Rhonda (Danny) Brown of Macomb, Rebecca (Ralph) Faxon of Macomb, two brothers Dave (Laurie) Featherlin of Lodi, California and John Featherlin of Marysville, California, three nieces Julie (Adam) Brines, Anie (Steven) Oller and Michelle Alvarez, three nephews Jeff (Stephanie) Brown, David Featherlin, and Matthew Featherlin. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husbands.

Lois had lived in Good Hope, Quincy, and Bushnell, before moving to Macomb in the 1980s. She had worked as a bookkeeper for Farm King and had worked for Union National Bank in Macomb. She also volunteered at the Hope Community Thrift Store in Macomb, and for McDonough District Hospital.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March13, 2021 at the Macomb VFW. Family and friends are invited.
