Mary L. Parks

Mary L. Parks, 90, of Macomb passed away at 7 a.m. Friday, August 18, 2023 at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb.
She was born on August 8, 1933 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Joseph and Violet Frendenberg Warchol.
She is survived by her children, Mary Uhlmann of Macomb, Linda (Tim) Branch of Macomb, John (Ruth Guzman) Parks of San Juan, Puerto Rico and Nini (Neil) Actor-Engel of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, Mallory Vail, Shaun Thompson, Jose Rodriguez, John Anthony Parks-Guzman, Rose Actor-Engel, Hannah Actor-Engel and Eli Actor-Engel and three great-grandchildren, Aidan, Jaydn and Kai.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Onamae Klein.
Mary has lived in Macomb for 36 years. She was the former vice president of the Industry Women’s Club. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Macomb, and was a Sunday School superintendent and treasurer, and volunteered at McDonough District Hospital.
She worked for Western Illinois University Daycare and later in janitorial at Western Illinois University for 20 years retiring in 1998.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb.
Memorials may be made to the Elms Nursing Home or the Diabetes Asociation.
