Michael T. Ellis

Michael T. Ellis, 70, of Macomb passed away at 6:21 p.m. Sunday, June 18, 2023 at his residence.
He was born on October 17, 1952 in Macomb to Theodore and Beverly Doney Ellis.
He is survived by a half-brother, Bob (Gloria) Simmons of Macomb; two sisters, Deborah Markley of Macomb and Linda Ellis of WV and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his parents; step-father, Mick Simmons and one nephew, Robert Simmons.
Mike lived all of his life in Macomb. He was raised by his step-father, Mick Simmons. He worked as a steam fitter for Local #353.
He was an Army veteran serving from 1971 to 1974. He was a member of the Macomb American Legion, Macomb VFW, Macomb Elks and Macomb Eagles.
He was an avid golfer, St. Louis Cardinal fan and loved his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Grave side services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 30, 2023 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb with Reverend A. Lee Unger officiating. Full military rites will be conducted by the Macomb Legion and Macomb VFW. A Celebration of Life with all invited will be held immediately following at the Macomb VFW.
Memorials may be made to the Macomb VFW.
