Mildred Ellis Obituary

Mildred Imogene “Imo” Ellis, 94, of rural Macomb passed away at 10:04 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2021 at her residence.
She was born on July 23, 1926 in Scotland Township, McDonough County, Illinois to Charles W. and Nellie Kirkpatrick Pollock. She married Neil Snowden in 1945. He passed away in 1989. She then married Robert Ellis in 1995. He survives and they enjoyed 26 years of marriage.
Also surviving are three sons, Kent (Jackie) Snowden of Hanna City, Don (Maureen) Snowden of Littleton, Colorado and Steven (Gail) Snowden of Dunlap; stepdaughter Pat Ellis White of Lincoln Illinois. Seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Neil Snowden; one brother, Robert Pollock and one sister, Annabelle Garrett.
Imo lived in Peoria from 1946 until 1995 when she moved to Macomb. She worked for Keenan’s Sporting Goods store in Peoria for several years.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration (Remembrance) of Life will be held at her residence, 14175 North 1600th Road, Macomb ,Illinois, on Saturday, August 7th from 10:00 am until 4:00 p.m. We would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for Imogene and family. Also a sincere than you to MDH Hospice for their caring and compassion during our recent trials.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.
