Randall Featherlin Obituary

Randall Eugene Featherlin, 71, of Adair passed away at 4 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2021 surrounded by his family at his residence.

He was born on May 4, 1949 in Macomb to Daren Eugene and Constance Lee Hainline Featherlin. He first married Charlotte Sewell on February 14, 1971 in Macomb. She passed away on September 15, 1992. He then married Barbara Jo Wiley on December 31, 1995 in Doddsville. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Jason (Mindy) Featherlin of Astoria and Gale (Patti) Abernathy of Pekin; two daughters, Sara Beth Featherlin of Springfield and Tiffany (Keith) Chenoweth of Table Grove; grandchildren Trey, Faith and Hannah of Pekin, Dixie, Westin, Peyson, Ensley and Lynch of Table Grove and Garret, Olivea and Keizer of Astoria; great-grandson, Boston Bailey of Pekin; five brothers, Rick Featherlin of San Diego, California, Rod (Theresa) Featherlin of Littleton, Ronnie (Jenny Carter) Featherlin of Bushnell, Rex (Kim) Featherlin of Industry and Todd (Krysta) Royer of Colchester; one sister, Ginger (Jeff) Miller of Peoria and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Randall was preceded in death by his father, Daren; his mother, Connie; step-father, Richard Royer and four brothers, Roger Featherlin and Obie, Dannie and Donnie Royer.

He has lived in McDonough County most of his life. He was an army veteran serving during the Vietnam War from 1968 until 1970 where he served in the miltary police and worked at the LBJ prison in Long Binh, Vietnam. He was a life member of the Macomb VFW and was Past Commander and was a life member of the NRA. He loved fishing, hunting, outdoor activities, reading, watching old time movies and going to his grandchildren’s sporting events. He worked at NTN Bower from 1972 until his retirement in 2012

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 1, 2021 at the Doddsville United Methodist Church with Rex Featherlin officiating with full military rites being conducted at the church by the Macomb VFW and Macomb American Legion. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb. Cremation rites will be accorded after the service.

Memorials may be made to MDH Hospice or New Salem Fire and Rescue Squad.
