Richard J. “Dick” McClintock, 88, of Macomb passed away at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, November 24, 2022 at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
He was born on February 22, 1934 at St. Francis Hospital in Macomb to Karr L. and Lucille (Ellis) McClintock. He married Anna Mae Bly on December 25, 1953. She passed away on June 24, 2019.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Lois Hainline,
surviving are two sons, Danny (Kathy) McClintock of Douglasville, Pennsylvania and Adam (Cindy) McClintock of Macomb; four grandchildren, Karlee (Tyler) Neiswender of Reading, Pennsylvania, Alexis (Tyler Kline) McClintock of Douglasville, Pennsylvania, Kayla (Derek) Switzer of Washington, Illinois and Brittany Davila of Porta Vedra Beach, Florida; four great-grandchildren, Beau Davila, Hannah Switzer, Logan Switzer and Rylee Neiswender, one sister, Lucy (Ralph) Pierce of Bushnell and one brother, Roger (Ruth) McClintock of Jacksonville.
Dick lived most of his life in Macomb except for his time in the service. He was a member of the Macomb Bowling Association and bowled in leagues for many years.
He was a Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the Macomb VFW, Macomb American Legion, attended the First Baptist Church in Macomb.
He skied in the Alps.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2022 at the Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Claudia McCain officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorials may be made to MCHS new animal shelter, St. Jude’s or the Richard McClintock memorial fund.
