Richard Lee “Dick” Hainline, 75, of Blandinsville passed away at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, October 21, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born on March 1, 1948 in LaHarpe to Charles Richard and Virginia Phillips Hainline. He married Pat Johnson on August 5, 1983 in Blandinsville. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Shannon (Nora) Allen of Macomb and Aaron (Lisa) Allen of Macomb; daughter-in-law, Karen Allen of Macomb; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and one brother, James Hainline of Blandinsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Trenton Hainline and Shane Allen and one sister, Patricia Hainline.
Dick lived in Blandinsville all of his life. He graduated from Northwestern High School. He worked at King Seeley, Nortrup Oil and as a Corrections Officer with the State of Illinois before his retirement in 2008.
He was a Navy veteran serving two years during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Twin Oaks Country Club in Blandinsville. He thoroughly loved playing golf.
Cremation rites have been accorded. No grave side services are planned at this time. A Farewell Party is being planned to celebrate his life from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Twin Oaks Country Club in Blandinsville. Full military rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. by the Macomb American Legion and Macomb VFW.
Memorials may be made to the Blandinsville Fire and Rescue Squad, MDH Hospice or Twin Oaks Country Club.
