He was also preceded in death by his parents, one sister in infancy, and a nephew Dr. John Thomas Creasey. He later married Arlistene Devinney on November 11, 2000, in Macomb, IL.

Robert enjoyed going and watching the “world champion” Kansas City Chiefs’ football games, Nascar races and Dallas’ motocross races with the entire family. He will be remembered for his long patience and larger than life heart!  Robert was happiest in the middle of a cattle lot. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was quick to laugh and whatever life threw at him he never complained. He was a one problem at a time type person, no one loved what they did more than Robert. He would often say that it did not feel like work or a job because he loved what he was doing. Robert had served on the Industry School Board for eight years and was proud to have presented Kimberly with her diploma. He received the Illinois Farm Bureau Outstanding Young Farmer Award in the 70s.
