Robert "Bob" A. Yaap

Robert A. “Bob” Yaap, 74, of Ankeny, Iowa, formerly of Keokuk passed away at 6:06 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2022 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.
He was born on July 14, 1947 in Macomb to Carl and Edna Lamb Yaap. 
He is survived by two daughters, Laurie Yaap (Vince) Sanders of Ankeny, Iowa and Tricia Yaap of Ankeny, Iowa; two grandsons, Benjamin Sanders and Evan Sanders; two sisters, Kathryn Yaap Bowers of Macomb and Barbara Yaap  (Carmen) Rose of Macomb; three nieces, Kris (Brent) Lowderman, Casey (Seth) Hiatt and Heide Catrino; two nephews, Scott Cleve and Teddy Cleve and great-nieces and great-nephews, Morgan Lowderman, Blake (Caley Rumler) Lowderman, Cameron Cleve and Asher Hiatt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Edna Yaap; one sister, Mary Alice Cleve and brother-in-law, Steve Bowers.
Robert lived in Industry in his early years. He graduated from Western Illinois University in 1969. He moved to Keokuk, Iowa where he worked as a Quality Control Engineer for Sheller-Globe Corp. for many years. He moved  to Ankeny, Iowa in 2016. His grandsons were his pride and joy. Bob enjoyed working on the family farm and was a former member of the Industry United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the Industry Methodist Church with Pastor Bennett Woods officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Industry Cemetery in Industry. Following the graveside services all are invited back to the Industry United Methodist Church for a lite lunch.
Memorials may be made to the Industry United Methodist Church.
