Sheila Payne  Provine, 81, of Macomb, formerly of Adair passed away at 4:34 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
She was born on May 8, 1944 in San Diego, California to Verl R. and Frances Christine Gaddis Payne. She married Jack Pace and they had one son, Walker Jackson Pace born on June 18, 1974.
She is survived by a sister, Verla Hamm of Industry; niece, Christa (Brian Sears) Miller of Industry; great-nephew, Owen Parker of Industry and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son, Walker Jackson Pace; her parents; a brother-in-law, Steve Hamm and her second husband, John Provine.
Sheila lived most of her life in Adair before moving to Macomb for the last several years. She graduated from Western Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology. She worked as a Speech Pathologist for Macomb School District for over 30 years. She was a member of the Industry United Methodist Church.
Grave side services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Industry Cemetery in Industry with Gene Greuel officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb.
Memorials may be made to Angel Flight through the US Air Force which flies Fallen Soldiers Home and US Soldiers in need of emergency transport.
