Sherry Wike, 73, of Macomb passed away at 9:58 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2025 at her home with all of her family members at her side after a three month battle with cancer.
She was born on February 12, 1951 in Macomb to Frank and Gladys Ogren Deuel. She married Max Wike on April 4, 1972 in Macomb. He survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Nickie Wike; of Macomb; a son, Rusty (Robin) Wike of Macomb; grandchildren, Jacob Miller, Emilee Mahre, Hunter Wike and Lyla Wike; one brother Don (Suzie) Deuel of Montery, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jerry Deuel.
Sherry loved spending time with her grandchildren as they were her top priority. She spent countless hours investigating family Genealogy and colleting family photos. She loved camping, gardening, and collecting glass.
She worked at McDonough District Hospital in the business office for 37 years and was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge for many years.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Private burial of ashes will be held at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb.
