Shirley Lou Roudebush

Shirley Lou Yocum Roudebush, 96, of Rushville, passed away at 6:19 pm on June 12, 2026 at the Rushville Nursing Center.

She was born on Friday, October 4, 1929, in Cuba, Illinois, the daughter of the late William “Pete” and Luola Irwin Yocum. On October 25, 1947, she married Robert Lee Roudebush in Galesburg, Illinois. He preceded her in death along with a daughter, Barbara Ann Baker.

Survivors include her children: Dana (Beverly) Roudebush of Quincy; Patricia (Steve) Ewing of Springfield; and Alice (Norman) Hood of Ohio; and son-in-law Allen Baker of Camden. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Shirley was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Versailles. She raised her family while working alongside her husband on the farm and lived a life grounded in faith, loving the Lord deeply.

Arrangements are being handled by Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb, Illinois. Graveside services will take place at10 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2026 Rushville City Cemetery with Pastor Jeremy Hinton officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
