Steven L. Plate, 66, of Macomb pased away at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Countryview Nursing Home in Macomb.
He was born on February 24, 1956 in Macomb to Larry and Alice Schleich Plate.
Steve is survived by his parents, Larry and Alice Plate of Macomb; his children, Susie (Nick) Boyles of Carthage and Jamie Boyles of Carthage; four grandchildren, Kendra (Tyler) Snodgrass, Kaitlynn Swartz, Gracie Boyles and Owen Swartz; his siblings, Patsy (David) Leezer of St. Charles, Missouri, Larry Joe Plate of Niota and Rose (Randy) Scheetz of Carthage and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Shelly Boyles and his maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents.
Steve lived most of his life in McDonough and Hancock counties. He farmed in Hancock County for many years.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Grave-side services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Pennington Point Cemetery west of Adair with Pastor Mike Williams officiating. There will be no visitation.
Instead of memorials the family requests prayers for Steve’s family.
