Thomas Johnson Obituary

Thomas Joe Johnson, 72, of Macomb passed away at 5:27 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2022 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
He was born on November 29, 1949 in Macomb to Donald and Christina Coy Johnson. He married Rita McCann on November 14, 1990 in Macomb. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Heather (Dustin) Downs of Industry and Sarah (Matt) Raymond of Macomb; five grandchildren, Kaleigh, Ashlyn and Colton Downs and Wyatt and Watson Raymond; one brother, Brad (Susan) Johnson of Kansas City, Kansas and one sister, Krista (Tom) Knowles of Sun Tan Valley, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Johnson and Christina Thomas; one son, Jeffrey Johnson and one sister, Rita Kay Johnson.
Thomas lived most of his life in Macomb. He worked as a truck driver for Wayland Ready-Mix. In his early days he showed horses for Press Oder Stables.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
