Virginia Mae Blevins, 81, of Macomb passed away at 6:58 a.m. Sunday, May 11, 2025 at the LaMoine Senior Living Center in Macomb.
She was born on October 24, 1943 in Peoria to Harry and Reva Koch Graham. She married Robert “Sam” Blevins on April 12, 1985. He passed away on December 4, 2014.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Roger and Frank Graham.
She is survived by siblings, Marjorie Weston of Macomb and Keith Graham of Peoria; nieces and nephews, Russell Robb of Huntsville, Alabama, Patty Weston of Macomb, Aime Graham of Houston, Texas, Ivy Doffing of Dallas, Texas and Roger Graham,Jr of Houston, Texas and several great-nieces, nephews and cousins.
She moved to Macomb in 1955. She was a graduate of Macomb High School, received her BS and MBA from Western Illinois University in Macomb. She was a P.E. teacher and volleyball coach at Lewistown Junior High for many years before retiring in 1995.
She was a long time Elks member and an avid Cubs fan.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Grave side services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2025 at Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb with Pastor Melly Momo officiating. There will be no visitation. celebration of life will be held at the Macomb Elks Club on Saturday, June 7 at 1:00 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Macomb VFW local Veteran’s Assistance Program.
