Wade Bedwell

Wade Bedwell, 93, of Blandinsville. passed away at 9:41 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Bickford of Gurnee.            
He was born on December 27, 1930 in Industry to Bernard and Viola Irwin Bedwell. He married Barbara Joann Perry on October 14, 1956 in Hersman. She passed away on December 18, 2014.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; one son Gary Bedwell; two brothers Donnie and Duane Bedwell and one daughter-in-law, Crystal Bedwell.
Wade is survived by his children, Daryl (Pamala Doll) Bedwell of Macomb and Crystal Pedroni of Gurnee, Illinois; 4 grandchildren, Kristina (Chris) Maestranzi, Michael (Brittany) Pedroni, Carissa (Justin) Bryant and Curtis Bedwell and 10 great-grandchildren.
Wade lived in Industry early on. He moved to Littleton before moving to Blandinsville. He worked as a lineman for the REA and McDonough County Telephone before becoming a proud farmer.
He was an Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He is a member of the Blandinsville United Methodist Church, LaHarpe Masonic Lodge and Quincy Consistory.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2024 at the Blandinsville United Methodist Church with Pastor Beth Nelson officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2024 with Masonic Services being held at 4:30 p.m. at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Blandinsville. Burial will be in the Glade City Cemetery in Blandinsville with full military rites being conducted by the Macomb American Legion and Macomb VFW.
Memorials may be made to the Blandinsville United Methodist Church or Blandinsville Fire and Rescue Squad.
